TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG PT.1: THE 1ST AMENDMENT DIVIDE

I've been absent from the "Your Blog" section of Town Hall. Not that I haven't had anything to "say",for I have made the "short and sweet" commentary on Facebook, but I have been meditating on the concept of "The Blog".
There are few who Blog that can measure up with to the Town Hall columnists with their flair and dexterity of expression on these serious issues. I'll go even further and say that most people don't even read these Blogs. For "me" the opportunity to "express myself" on such a platform has been reward enough just getting it off my chest. If someone reads it, cool. If no one reads it, cool. I've out it down and out there. Participating in Facebook has been fun and interesting. I've met so many like minded people that it makes me wonder what Washington and the compliant media is thinking with all that they are trying to do and trying to spin. At the same time I've been "unfriended" by those who disagree and refuse to defend their position. They refer to me and others who comment on a particular issue as, "very angry" or "aggressive" and the big one "hateful" simply because we reject the policies that "we" view as destructive an contrary to "our" understanding of what these United States of America is about and its purpose, intent and over 200 years of a "Great Experiment", pro and con. It seems that those who support the administration and the actions of congress are so invested that they have dismissed any reasonable argument against what is happening. Understandable. That's what their models are doing as well.
One of the arguments that they seem to overlook is the possibility that these same tactics will be applied to "them" should the government find "their" objections to policies, and at some point they will object to "something", shouldn't stand in the way of government's agenda. They don't see that "they" could be muzzled just like conservatives, Republicans or anyone who raises or takes issue with government intrusions. Trying to make this point cost me a "friend", further demonstrating the severity of the divide among people that is being fostered between Conservatives and Progressives. Liberals were a lot easier to live with because, on level, they still understood and upheld fundamentals of the nation and were willing to address the outlined process for such changes within the rule of law in The Constitution. Progressives, however, as stated by Barak Obama, believe that the Constitution doesn't allow the government enough authority to initiate "change". He even stated that he intended to fundamentally change America. Where can that be done without dismissal or circumventing the rule of law in The Constitution? Nevermind that it was the whole idea; Government of the People, by the People and for the People. It was and still is a most unique concept for the coexistence of not only the differences among people, but one umbrella that all people could stand under with limited intrusion on the one standing next to you.
What Progressives seem to be successfully doing is promoting and perpetuating the lower elements of our Human Nature, nurturing the divides, such that we are no longer "One Nation Under God", but "Individuals and Small Groups/Collectives Under Government". They have done this by altering the concepts of "Rights vs Privileges" and assuming the authority over the determination of Rights and Privileges.
I will address this further at another time, and it needs to be soon, because the ability to "express myself", whether it is read or not by those who attend this site or participate in this site are very much under the threat of new consequences being designed by Progressives, and reversing the First Amendment. Makes sense. What way would be better to dismantle the rule of law under The Constitution than to control Free Speech?

K.I.S.S.: JUST A THOUGHT ON THE MIDDLE EAST

Perhaps this is a "too simple" analogy of foreign relations, but sometimes, NO, most of the time we need to K.I.S.S. My thoughts aren't usually as clear on foreign policies as they are to domestic, but once again, "To stay the course or leave" is going to clutter the dialog and further disrupt priorities the government should/could be addressing. Granted, this may be over simplified, but I can chew on this analogy in regards to the situation in the Middle East.
Let's take a Lounge/Club that one likes. They pour a good drink, have very friendly and competent servers and nice music both live and a DJ.
There is a small group of people that come in every week-end and all they seem to do is create havoc. They are loud and rude, hassle the servers, heckle the band and the DJ and demonstrate total disregard for the other patrons in the establishment. The owners are reluctant to reprimand them for their behavior because they are somewhat imposing and do spend a lot of money there on the week-end. You and your crew come to this establishment three or four times a month, for whatever reason and wonder why ownership endures these people regardless of how much money they put in the register. They don't tip particularly well and tend to drive people out after they have had a few.
You and your friends have had enough of these people and you get yourselves together, grab them one by one and throw them out. As they hit the pavement, you stand over them and say, "And don't ever come back"!! You return to your booth or stool in the lounge to the back slaps of the staff and other patrons, with all the, "At a boys!" and "Way to GO"! Except from the owner. He's worried that they will indeed return and with a vengeance. He can't afford to hire bouncers. How does this mandate that "you" and your crew asserted gets enforced? YOU and your crew must now be there EVERY WEEK-END to see that these people don't return, and if they do, be prepared to throw them out again.
Our history demonstrates that whether we are protecting or nation building, i.e. trying to secure a "democracy", the United States NEVER leaves ANYWHERE. We are still in Europe, the Far East as a result of WW II, South Korea and WILL be in Iraq and Afghanistan. Europe has been a relatively easy establishment. For the most part, we are allies and WW II was Europe against Europe that eventually spread. The Middle East is another proposition all together. There are economic imperatives tied to the resources there, as well as our allegiance to Israel that are in the mix in regards to Iraq and Afghanistan. Not necessarily "in" those countries, but in the region and we need to have some position of relativity, geographically, to protect those interests.
Hezbollah and the Taliban have these "lounges" under their thumbs, for whatever reason. They may be rude to the "customers" and the "wait staff" and even scoff at the "owners",but if "we" think that we can "throw them out onto the curb", and NOT be there "every week-end", it would be a height of arrogance that could result in a very painful  fall. It's nice to build a castle in the sky, but a fool's mission to try to live in it. Whether our intents in entering the region were contrived or justified, we are there and we don't have a history of leaving ANYWHERE. So belly on up to the bar. This may take a while.

THE NEW USE OF THE "RACE CARD"

One of the late Richard Pryor's stand-up routines included how arguments with White people evolved. He said the argument would go back and forth and then the White person would say, "N****",and it would through him "off balance. Now I have to defend 'THAT'".
Just when it seemed that America was able to relax the shackles of a prejudicial history against Black people, the age old "fall back position" that was once the sole possession of the Jessie Jackson's, NAACP and so on, NOW the White folks have taken share if the position. Jimmy Carter, not the most glowing of people having a role in our history, has thrown it out there. It sounded like an Al Campanis, former Dodger GM moment. Carter said these people don't believe that Blacks have the capacity to lead a country as great as the United States, much like Campanis said that Blacks didn't have the capacity to run a team on the field or any executive position in an organization.
History and time have proved Campanis wrong in three of the major sports in this country from the field level to the executive level. Perhaps it's Jimmy Carter himself that questions the ability of a Black man to run this country. After all, he is a Democrat and a Liberal (well...Progressive), but seems to have a problem "closing the deal" on his Health Care objectives. He got the other stuff through in a rush, but now is getting a little bit more scrutiny on Health Care, which the American people are, not only having and taking time to examine, but seeing the results of the "rush jobs" he has already gotten pass everyone.
Whenever people didn't agree with Liberal ideas and notions, the excuse was, "We're not getting our message out". Or, "It's the Conservative Talk Radio and Rush Limbaugh that's corrupting our message". Now, with the "Tea Party" protests, especially the one in Washington, the conclusion "has to be" that the people reject the plan because Barak Obama is Black. Can't POSSIBLY be that they just have a problem with the concept of reform he and the Congress are presenting. He's Black.
Like the story that Richard Pryor told, this is a claim or statement that is a distraction. Black "leaders" used it for 40 years. With a Black president, White Liberals, Progressives and Democrats now have the licence to apply it.
Guess Obama's pledge of "bring people together" is working half way. The new "Hope" is that it is enough of a distraction and can stir enough "guilt" to run thorough yet another agenda for all the wrong reasons.

THICKENING CLOUDS OF DISSENSION: TIME TO MAKE THEM LISTEN

House Republican Representative, Joe Wilson yelled out, “You lie!!!’ in the chambers during the address last Wednesday. He, and probably rightfully apologized the President Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden. They accepted and agreed to “move forward” in the “debate”. Interesting word, “debate”. Throughout his campaign and throughout the 8 months serving, President Obama has consistently “said”, he is will and welcomes legitimate debate on the various issues on the table. Yet, even in his 29th speech on the “Health Care” issue, making that assertion, he qualifies it with not being willing to address political ideology or rhetoric. To his credit, he did offer some lip service to medical malpractice and the Public Option as a “small part” of the reform. I’m still wondering when, where and with who is he “willing” to have this “legitimate debate”. Naturally, the partisanship and political ideologies are allowed to be asserted by Democrats. They are “legitimate” and germane to the issue. It seems, however, that opposition in general to those assertions aren’t legitimate and are mere ideological retorts. Even Town Hall events where citizens express their concerns about this issue and the mounting expenses being generated by the administration are being scoffed at and reduced to the ranting of ideology, anti-progress, status quo, doubters of his legitimacy to the office, and my absolute favorite, racists. It could “never” be that there are people, some who even supported him and voted for him, just don’t think the ideas stink and believe that there is a more efficient way to correct the Medical Insurance problem.

The one thing that all seem to agree with, and it has been agreed for decades, is that Health Care is a problem. It was/is well intentioned, but, like Marxism, works well in theory and not so well in practice. Like most ideas and programs government run, the “incidental” of how to pay for it becomes the rub, or in this case, a third rail. Magnifying the heart felt intent and establishing some moral imperative to fulfillment, like trying to establish fairness, always produces an “un”fairness SOMEWHERE as, what is now becoming an accepted condition, unintended consequences. These unintended consequences are becoming excusable in favor of the “intent”. Well that’s easy enough. It’s not the legislature’s money being provided to fulfill these “moral imperatives”. This is where the administration, the Democrat majority in the legislature and special interest groups who have taken up residence in the White House and Congress Chambers have given a brand new meaning to “fuzzy math”.

The thickening clouds of protest have been initialized. It was one thing when it was just Republicans and Conservatives stirring the air. It is rapidly becoming a non-left, non right, non Republican and non Democrat objection to what is been injected into process. It is turning out that the administration, the congress and the compliant media spins gears are locking. What once worked as reasoning and response to objections, such as race, ideology and political agendas are losing traction and a little “common sense” is finding its way into the discussion. They shouldn’t have toyed with Mathematics. Unlike “them”, it “is” consistent.  Numbers can’t lie. President Obama did, has and is. Where it was pointed out may have some protocols attached to the process that doesn’t allow it being said to his face, but none the less is true.

More on this later, but here is a suggestion to the Republicans in the House and Senate. If they try to pressure Joe Wilson into a floor apology, collectively WALK OUT of the Chambers. Issue a statement saying that unless there is the real legitimate debate touted by the President, they will not attend anymore assemblies. They are threatening to circumvent the process with an abstract interpretation of the voting process to secure their intentions with the Nuclear Option/ Reconciliation anyway. Get on a plane and return to your constituents and your offices in your respective States and make it known that you will not return until there is clear that there will be legitimate debate over the issues on the plate of congress.

...SO WHAT NOW, OF,BY and FOR "THE PEOPLE"?

It appears that the "People" are being ignored. The "People" were against TARP during the sunset of the Bush administration. The "People" were against the bailout of the banking industries. The "People" were against the bailout of the auto industry. The "People" were against the Stimulus bill. Now, the "People" are standing against the House Health Care Reform bill. To be fair, the "People" really don't know who to believe or what in the content and structure being proposed, be it the "official" bill that has been voted on and passed in the House, or the myriad of "sketches" being bantered about in the Senate. The one thing that "is" clear is the "reform" doesn't address elements that certainly need to be addressed in the existing system. Yet, the focus is being directed at the evils of the private insurance companies and not some of the effects of the existing policies in the federal program that have triggered the rise in health care costs. Restrictions on the range and reach of the private insurance by relegating them to state borders and malpractice insurance required by doctors have great impact on the cost of health care and the protections need by doctors to deliver are not even on the stove, let alone the back burner.
All of this reveals an even greater threat to this proposition known as The United States of America; Government take over. Health Care and the reform "should" be the item that alerts us all to just what the "Hope and Change" mantra of Barak Obama truly means. For whatever reasons; anger with the Bush administration, failing economy, collapse of the real estate market, rise in oil prices, whatever. "Hope and Change" had a positive ring to it that warmed the ears enough so that we didn't all hear the underlying intentions of effecting it. People didn't hear that underlying intent of "taking America in a new direction". People never heard the concerns President Obama has had over the years as a "Constitutional Scholar" that The Constitution was restrictive to government and what it can do. Not enough "People" evaluated the carefully crafted speeches that revealed the deeper objectives of an Obama administration. Not enough "People" reflected back to something their parents might have told them about being judged by "the company they keep". "Hope and Change" attached to the face of a Black man on center stage, symbolizing  some form of "redemption" for past sins of the country was given greater value than questioning just "how" he was going to fulfill the promise of "Hope and Change". But seven months into this administration the actions are beginning to reveal to more and more each day is that the "Hope and Change" promise and the "taking America in a new direction" is taking it in the direction of rule and government that  people came here to get away from.
We need not apologize for our greatness. The United States of America and its founding was the first of its kind in the history of mankind. Government "by the People, for the People and of the People". With a Constitution as a guideline, the "People" decided just "what" and "how" the nation would be run. The "People" elected representatives for 3 aspects of carrying out those guidelines in the Constitution, the President, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Those elected officials  had in place, by virtue of that Constitution, elements within such that neither one has absolute control or power. And a judicial branch in place to see that the "guidelines" were kept. Even freedoms that were overlooked and proved to be unjust were accounted for in the Constitution such that they can be legally addressed. We now have in power a group of people who are renouncing that Constitution in a blatant and brazen way. They have united in a way that they now, as evidenced by their
scoff at the "will of the people", are driven to insert personal and collective agendas without approval of the "People" let alone substantive support for their insertions. Actually, there is no debate.  Instead, they are in the process of regulating and regulating the cornerstone of this unique proposition we call the United States of America. FREE SPEECH.
I once feared the parameters of free speech would reach the height of being able to yell, "FIRE!!" in a crowded theatre. I fear even more that free speech will be punishable by law should it be against that which those in government "do" or "want to do". I fear now that even being able to express my concerns "here" in the "Town Hall Blog" would put me on a list of descendents to the intrusion of government in our lives and fundamental freedoms, and by doing so, I would be running the risk of being charged with the very thing that "I" see is being done by circumventing and redefining the guideline of this proposition we have known as The United States of America; The Constitution, with treason.

THE KICHEN SINK APPROACH

I guess President Obama is taken a page from the Hillary Clinton playbook;particularly the chapter of "The Kitchen Sink".
Perhaps I was wrong about my view of "Get Rid of God", because this week "TheBama" has called on the religious community to get behind him and his Health Care agenda under the scriptural notion of "I am by brother's keeper",yet another out of context reference trying to establish a tie to some "moral imperative" as if God "needs" a "partner". It would seem that 20 years under the tutelage of Reverend Wright he didn't receive "Rightfully Divided Word" or, possibly, received the Word and applied his own interpretations of the intent like he has done with the Constitution. Never the less, the leader of the ideologues, who rant endlessly on the "separation of Church and State" is taking the "kitchen sink" approach in trying to get the Health Care agenda through. They have demonized the Insurance Companies, the protestors at Town Halls, the Republican Party, Doctors and their practices of treatments for monetary compensations, Sarah Palin for her "capsulation", albeit harsh, of the potential of rationalization of health care based on bureaucratic outlines, to now trying to appeal to some "moral imperative" that we must satisfy based on an out of context "Biblical Principle".
"...people baring false witness" just about had me on the floor with laughter when I heard it. As if utilizing the "language" of the church and The Bible (specifically the Ten Commandment # 9) would demonstrate his ability to "communicate" with religious believers. As though referencing "something" from scripture put him on some special "Holy footing" for his health care intentions. This is the same man who just a few months ago, reading from his TelePrompTer, that he was going to limit charitable deductions, including Tithes to the church. There is a country song out that says, "if 10% is good enough for God, then it ought to be good enough for Uncle Sam". Well we all know that isn't how Obama and Geithner,a tax evader himself, don't think so. Nor has the government in general for a very long time. Never the less, as they seem to have a compulsion to do, this administration intends to "double down" on everything, including the Christian canon of Tithes, Offerings and Gifts of Love and take "their" share of what was commanded by God. These same people, personally, are the least charitable of our citizenry, but that is another issue.
"Am I my brother's keeper?" was Cain's response to God when He asked of the whereabouts of his brother Abel whom he had slain. This, of course, has been altered, expanded, redefined, misquoted, misinterpreted, reinterpreted and redesigned from whole cloth for centuries, or so it would seem. In this case, it is "tied" to the "Gifts of Love" or more correctly, "Sowing Alms".   In truth, "Sowing Alms" is the third level of giving asked by God. It comes after Tithes, which is 10% of "earnings" that God wants which "belongs to Him" and "Offerings", which is an "overage" that one "offers" to that whom he selects for whatever reason. Sowing Alms refers to helping the poor, widows, orphans etc. From an abstract sense, what the administration is attempting to appeal to is aid to the poor, widows and orphans but ALSO frames as an entitlement to some who are in their state of lack either by their own design or by the system. When the edict was established by God the conditions of poverty and widow status was part of the condition of the times that was common, and God commanded His people to assist in the care of these people consistent with their abilities to assist based on the individual's abundance. God's people also had a conscience that compelled them to "do the right thing",an element that has gone the way of "Common Sense" over the last 30 years or so. This administration and the Progressives that have been appointed to it include other factors that are rooted in ideological/political stances that are designed to give them more power and control over the society. By approaching the religious community, with their "language" as "sound bites" to get them to support a health care plan that has several flaws and weaknesses that seem to get revealed daily is further evidence of the disingenuousness and condescending nature of this group of people bent on total control and manipulation of the people and Constitution under which this nation was founded on and demonstrated the fairest and productive of systems in the history of mankind. In short, they keep God in the "attic" until they think "He" can serve "them" and their agenda.
This "new" approach to addressing the Health Care imposition (not the "debate" they would like to frame it as) is merely an attempt to demonstrate just how "noble" their intentions are. The fact of the matter is there is a population of people, "Baby Boomers" who will be coming of "age" as recipients and benefactors of the national health care system that, like social security, the government cannot pay for under the present system and maintain control. The war is against the "free enterprise system" and the liberties of the citizens of these United States (operative word being "citizens"...yet another issue). Government has redefined it's role and intent. It has raised its own levels of prominence and authority at the expense of those who put them in position. They can even give themselves raises in pay and coverage for health beyond those of the people who put them in place; and for LIFE.
The American people need to step back and look at the bigger picture being painted by the present administration and other elected officials.
......and be mindful to not get hit in the head with "The Kitchen Sink". It is sure to leave a mark.

PROGRESSIVE'S PREDICATE:GET RID OF GOD AND COMMON SENSE Part 1

President Barak Obama is back on the “Campaign Trail”. And it’s no wonder. It’s what he does best. The Stimulus Bill was passed because, as Monica Crowley likes to reference the president, “The Bama” returned to the “Trail” to sell the bill to the people. Still hung over by the mass consumption of the “Kool-Aid”, he managed to convince enough people that this would work and produce jobs. He took his “Apology World Tour” and pretty much settled into the Oval Office to do the “little things” such as appoint some 40 Czars, orchestrate a few “Press Conferences”, see a Broadway show yadda yadda and proceeded to his Health Care issue and his “crown jewel”. The response has taken him, his administration and congress aback. “What? The American people are sober now”? The details of the bill constructed by the House were “supposed” to get lost in discovery; some 1100 pages of it. But the objections have sent them back to the checklist of actions they have taken to see to it that the “highlights” are amplified and the opposition of talk radio and Fox News, which they have been demonizing all along, would make their claims fall on deaf ears to the left and the choir on the right.

“The Bama” insults the intelligence of the American People. It’s understandable. After all, politicians, both left and right, have gone through great lengths over a long period of time to dismiss “Common Sense” from any equation in the process of government. Politics has become an accepted as well as elevated, to the primary factor of making decisions in the legislative process. Progressives even go so far as to demonized the very foundation of law and the Constitution as a restrictive document and the creators of it as narrow sighted architects, who couldn’t possibly seen this far into the future and the heights we, as a nation, could rise to under it and the possibilities that the freedoms there in could offer. Progressives believe that the Constitution must be revisited and revised to accommodate the “changing times”. This too, has been a painstaking and deliberate process that can be traced back to Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, cloaked with “good intentions”, and, to some extent, justifiable. But get used to the idea that with Progressive insertions into the system, comes, what we are now being desensitized to accept as part of the “normal” and to be “tolerant” of, “unintended consequences”.

My grandmother used to say, “Don’t accept the will for the deed”. The expression fits a few scenarios, but in this case, what Progressives “want” us to accept, is the desired intent, or “will”, in spite of the unintended consequences that come along with the “deed”. The “will” to stimulate the economy, to advance the “green agenda” and to, now, accept the House plan for Health Care, should supersede any and all “unintended consequences” that may present themselves and are just a matter of “course”.

This was and is a carefully constructed, or “deconstruction” plan, depending on how you see it. Two redirections of “think” had to be imposed over several decades and a few generations to make it happen. One is the avid insistence on “the separation of Church and State”, which really isn’t in the Constitution, to remove God from government and public forum. ANY God. This in turn eliminates God and His Word from any argument or debate in government or public policies as a basis of support. This nullifies "His" morals, thus leaving "man" to establish moral parameters. Imperfect beings must now depend on other imperfect beings (though they don't think so) to set the Moral Standards.

Next was the dismissal of Common Sense, or, if you will, minimizing the influence of Common Sense in government and public policy by expanding freedoms “for” all to freedom “from” all, as all ones individual rights “can” infringe on the rights of others because there is no basis from which we draw from for the “greater good”. No God, no Common Sense. The “right” of a woman to go out, as men have been able to do, and have illicit sexual relations and get rid of the “unintended consequences” of that “freedom”, over those “unintended consequence”. Shame was removed from the society such that one who “stands in judgment” is labeled “intolerant” or in effect, the “new parameter” for “shame”. These are but a couple of examples of just how "unintended consequences" are validated and the "thinking" has been reprioritized.

The cornerstone of this nation’s Declaration of Independence is the endowment by our Creator to, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. If there is “no Creator”, then by whom are we endowed by for our, “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness”? “Progressives”? Hmmmm.

I will readdress this at a later date, but in closing,….. Just a Thought.

BLACKMAIL,SHAKEDOWN, DEMONIZATION&FALSEHOODS Part 2

President Obama, it is a very cheap tactic to demonize opposition in order to elevate "your" position. If your position has any substance or righteousness, it should be able to stand on its own, tall against opposition regardless of the root nature, i.e. "partisan politics". It is equally a cheap tactic to infer that the "opposition" would rather do "nothing". There "is" the possibility, in spite of your inflated perception of brilliance and foresightedness, that you could just be wrong and the "opposition" just might have a better solution.

Beginning with the first TARP, the tactic of “Demonization” has been in full employ in order to “move the agenda” of Progressives. The tactic is specifically designed to undermine any and all forms of opposition to the agenda they want to insert into our law, society and economics. They began to fit their objectors with “Black Hats” and “Handlebar Mustaches” and parade them down “Main St.” for ridicule and debasement.

Over the course of the last 6 months, we have seen CEOs, Financial Institutions, Auto Company executives and “NOW” Insurance Companies, labeled as thieves, greedy, destructive to the American economy, out sourcing jobs and businesses, users of the “little guy” and so on. While all of this has been plastered all over magazines, what’s left of the newspaper industry to say nothing of the Television broadcast news outlets, not a word on the role that Congress has played in the collapse of the economy. Not a word about the “unintended consequences” that were the result of government intrusion.

We did hear, “Too big to fail” in regards to “bailing out” the financial industry. We did hear that Tim Geithner was, “Too intelligent to dismiss from consideration for Treasury Secretary”, in spite of the fact that he, now in charge of the IRS, didn’t pay his own taxes for several years. We did hear that it was necessary to pass the Stimulus Bill in order to get Americans back to work. Those “Americans”, so far, are getting jobs in government and the “shovel ready jobs” were “there” and the “shoveling” had nothing to do with “infrastructure”, if you know what I mean.

Jobs have gone to an Executive order of administrators they are calling Czars, who have power and authority, not elected by the people or confirmed by the people who “were” elected to represent them. And why aren’t these elected officials challenging that?

Any questions or opposition to any of the actions taken by the administration and congress was met with the “Black Hat” and “Handlebar Mustache”. They were labeled “ideologs”, the ones who got us here in the first place, people comfortable with the status quo, and my absolute favorite, “We inherited this mess!! It’s going to take quick and rapid legislation to get us out of it”.

The tactic of demonizing the Insurance Companies, for whatever reason, got derailed and that “train” has now gotten on the tracks to "demonize the American people" who, in the personal matter of Health Care, have heighted their concerns for its “reform”. Opposition has shown up at Town Hall meetings to make their oppositions known and to ask the questions that directly impact them and the lives of their families. Instead of listening and answering the questions and addressing the concerns, Nancy Peloci and Barbara Boxer, both of California (hmmmm), have lead the charge of demonization of the people who “dare to question” their intentions and efforts. Far be it that this bill is gaining a more pungent odor as parts of it are revealed by those who “have” read the bill and “understand it”. Some of the congress people are canceling their Town Halls not wanting to deal with the opposition and having to explain something that they may not have read or understand. It’s somewhat chilling to learn that not reading entire bills before a vote is a common practice in our congress. Cancelling these Town Halls is a clear indication that these people have forgotten; even dismissed the knowledge of who they work for. Instead, we are labeled as a “Astroturf” movement, a mob created by the GOP and special interest groups and organized “Brooks Brothers” protestors, sent to these Town Halls, who would probably rather sip on a single malt, suck on a ceeegar and rant over the upcoming football season.

Now I am not suggesting that we behave as they did in Iran. I AM NOT!!! But I think we should pick a day and show up either on the steps of the Capital in Washington or the steps of our respective State Capitals en mass to let them “see” that we are serious about our opposition to the direction things are going. ACORN could, would and it would be allowed and acceptable. If “We, the People” did it, and we were met with military force to disperse, that would then show just “what” these people have in mind and to what extent they would go to, to see it through. It is clear that they don’t want to listen to the American people. They will not debate this any more than they held any other debate over the Stimulus, Cap and Trade, purchasing the auto companies, bailing out banks and financial institutions, nothing.

This is the way of “Progressives”. They have no regard for the Constitution or the will of the people and even less for the process, that is in place in the Constitution, that would give them legal footing to propose what it is they are doing.  Maybe it’s time to “Change” the way “We, The People” assert ourselves and our will and return this to, Government OF the People, BY the People and FOR the People.

BLACKMAIL,SHAKEDOWN,DEMONIZATION & FALSEHOODS Part 1

It's been a while since I have last had the time to spill my thoughts in the Town Hall. In the immortal words of  Popeye the Sailor, "That's all I can stand and I can't stand it no more"!!

"We should do NOTHING"?
President Obama, on every opposition to his policies, makes the claim of "partisan politics" and or "they would rather do nothing". Heaven forbid there is disagreement because the plan won't work or just flat our stinks.
It was somewhat ironic that the passage of Cap and Trade in the House coincided with the death of Michael Jackson. Cap and Trade went way back in the news cycle and coverage on television and to page 23 in the newspapers, such that even now, it still looms under the radar of the government intrusions since January 20th.  The fact of Nancy Peloci's  investments, personally, in alternative energy doesn't seem to reflect a conflict of interests with her role as Speaker of the House. She boldly refused to allow discussion on the House floor back in September and Republicans didn't call her to task on it.
I don't think that rational people want to continue to get our oil from "foreign" nations. Truth of the matter is, unless you consider Canada and Mexico "foreign" in the same sense as the Middle East, we don't get the majority of our oil from "foreign" sources. We get it right here in our own hemisphere. That said, the rational recourse would be to drill for our own oil in our waters and our lands. Build the necessary refineries and "OOPS" actually create the "JOBS" that this administration "claims" to have as its priority. Getting people back to work instead will be relegated to "Green Jobs", based on a premise of "clean energy" so as not to destroy the planet, is rooted in a false premise, or at the very least, a premise that is not up for debate or discussion. Talk about your "partisan politics".
"Alternative Energy" should be "Diversified Energy". As one of the largest countries in the world, with such diversified climates and conditions, all potentials of energy should be explored and included for not only the energy aspect of the recovery, but the employment aspects as well. Solar panels and windmill parts are already being manufactured "overseas". With union implications to our taking up that job would only serve to increase the costs, but I digress.
President Obama. No one is saying, "do nothing" about energy. We are just saying your premise for limited sources of energy calls for honest debate and Nancy Peloci needs to recuse herself from the debate and the voting process because of her conflict of interest on the subject.

Interesting that with all of the policies being addressed by this administration that they claim will be impacted by the surging number of "Baby Boomers" that will enter the entitlement roster, there is no discussion about Social Security, an area that "partisan politics" kicked to the curb during the Bush administration. Instead, Health Care is taking center stage and is as much of an entitlement program and as much as a "third rail".
There is a reason that it has been kicked down the road for some 20 years. It doesn't work run by government any more than the Post Office does. But let's put that aside. The main reason why Health Insurance hasn't worked and has become more costly even to the private insurers, are the peripheral effects such as  frivolous law suits and the redundant oversight  and over testing that comes as a result.
Here is the problem. How do we get "lawyers" in elected government positions to set a ruling to control frivolous court cases docketed by other lawyers? In the efforts to cover themselves from these lawsuits, doctors must take out huge insurance policies and demand extra tests to satisfy the companies. So who gets demonized? The doctors and the insurance companies as "government" protects "lawyers" and their intrusion on the health industry process. Tort Reform has to be addressed first if they genuinely want to bring costs down. In these frivolous lawsuits, win, lose or draw, the lawyers prosper while all other areas of the process are on the "crap table" looking to win, minimize damages or break even.
President Obama. Serving "your" cronies any different from the claim your party made of Bush and Cheney serving "theirs" in oil?

Why is it that when "cuts" have to be made, the first things to "go" are, police, fireman and teachers? Why doesn't some of the government subsidies, here and abroad, like the Endowment of the Arts or the never ending "foreign aid" programs get their budgets cut. For that matter, why doesn't "spending" in general get cut in the non essentials?
When I was a child back in the 50's, I remember C.A.R.E. They would  show us pictures of children in Africa or in the Far East with pot bellies and flies in their face. Pitiful images. If we have been sending money all these years to address this issue, why is the problem with those same pitiful images still existing? Are they the same pictures from back then or are these the children of the people who had the pot bellies and flies in their faces?
President Obama. You have freely designated taxpayer dollars for projects and programs that will run over the next 10 years, which in and of itself, most of us have no clue as to where we will be in the next 4 years let alone 10. What has most of us Republicans who supported George W Bush disappointed in his terms was his "lose" of the Veto Pen, which he only used on Embryonic Stem Cell research that "you" rescinded. This gives you the "right" to double down on the deficits that you never fail to mention you "inherited"? And by the way, you ran for the office. This is what you wanted and "said" you could correct. You promised transparency, bipartisanship and a "change" in the politics of Washington, none of which are in evidence in these first six months and don't appear to be on the horizon.

FROGS IN THE POT AND THE HEAT IS ON!!!

It is becoming crystallized daily, that there "are" two Americas. There is the one that many get up in the morning and go to work to support themselves and their families. They have jobs where they work for someone or may have their own business where they work for themselves and "maybe" have a position or two for others. It is an all consuming thing what with rent/a mortgage, power and light, transportation, groceries, communication devices, and all the miscellaneous necessities of just going from one day to the next.  The America that tries to just "get along" and enjoy what is still, with all that is wrong, the "best game in town"; the place everyone would like to be or be "like" as a pure citizen.
Then there is the America that is rooted in Washington DC.  There, they are "elected" to serve their constituents and secure their freedoms and their guarantees according to the promise of the Constitution of the United States of America, "so help me God". Something happens to them once they begin to consume the "air" in Washington DC. All that they promised to do for the people who elected them to "represent THEM" gets, simply put, forgotten. The air in DC manifests a form of amnesia to those promises and replaces it with a form of autonomous authority that, in their minds, justifies establishing what is or isn't good for their constituents. Life in DC shuts out the circle of people they were "elected" to represent and closes on this circle of people who view things from a perspective with little to no influence, impact or concerns of/for the people they "moved" to Washington to represent in the first place.
This has been decades in the developing but was done so incrementally, like the proverbial "Frog in the pot of water on the stove". We frolicked about not realizing that heat was on. We delved into every nuance and technological innovation from computers to cell phones to text messaging to to HD TV. We were lulled into "Reality Television", prime time cartoons and slanted news that manipulated our thinking towards our emotions and way from our intellect and common sense.
Well now...it has come to a boil.  Repetition compulsion has "convinced us" of all of these "things" that are wrong with this country that only our government has the wisdom and intelligence to fix. They can build this "Castle in the Sky" and we all can live in it as one people. The thing is, "we" have to pay for it in the form of taxes nationally as well as locally, as our local "elected" officials want to live in that "castle" too. For this to happen, we must work and "submit" more than 50% of what we "earn" and give it Washington as well as our relative State for the "castle's" construction.
Even with the knowledge that Politics is a Virus, that poisons whatever entity or proposition it is injected into, "we", the "Frogs in the Pot", with the heat rising, are forced to acknowledge and accept its intrusion or suffer the labeling of, selfish, un-American, greedy, relics of a failed ideology, bigots, homophobic, unenlightened, and every other name under the sun. It could never be that some of us maintained our capacities to thing and reason with some basic common sense and arithmetic.
Control ones finances and you control their will. This is a statement made in a book entitled "The Miseducation of the 'Black Man'"( not the real title but Town Hall finds the original woeding "offensive" which I don't get), written some 70 or 80 years ago. There are many examples of what this administration and the direction it is taking; the methods being employed and the intended results, that can be paralleled to the plight of the Black man in this country for the last 250+ years. The latest being the "system" or "method" of NAACP founder W.E.B. Dubois  and his "elite 10". The "Elite 10%" of the Black population should have charge over the entire Black community. They should set the tone, control the information,do the battles for "their best interests", regulate the development and growth etc etc. It is this same system, made a little more sophisticated and detailed control i.e. "Power Grab", that is now fully in place, and those who would oppose are so few in numbers their voices are drowned out as they are demonized as ideologues and bigots etc etc. What's even worst  is clear opposition to recent actions taken in DC by the populous has been totally ignored. The American people don't have any idea as to the severities of the situation. Maybe we don't, but the choices made have not made the situation any better. The choices made have been to the benefit of the "Elite 10". Even by rewarding the support of those who "think" they are "in" the "Elite 10" will benefit as they take control of their will via their finances.
Opposition needs to make a significant move. The heat is near boiling.

WHO IS GOING TO STEP UP AND POUND THE TABLE Pt 1

I guess watching Huckabee last night debating some Democrat strategist underlings hit that "nerve" that gets me so frustrated with the Republican Party. This woman (who's name escapes me at the moment, but isn't really the point) said that Global Warming/Climate Change is a fact and we are responsible and need to do something about it. As a Minister, how could Huckabee just reduce God's Creation as something so fragile that "we", the "creat 'ed' " could have that much of an impact on His "crea-'tion'"? The controversies of "Climate Change", the new acoustics designed to cover the advocates of man made influence on the earth's condition, have been bantered back and forth for 100 years.  Even prior to SUVs and factories and refineries. The earth has "heated" and "cooled" all on its own, for whatever reason. Is it debated; Pro and Con openly? I don't think so. Just recently some scientists in Australia reasoned that man is NOT influencing the change of the world's climate, but it was shoved aside as the Progressives go out of their way to shape the truth to justify their intentions.
This is but one of the areas that are forcing the people to accept impositions without any foundation to the proposition. "Cap and Trade" is justified only if you accept the proposition that the changing of the temperature of the Earth is "Man Made". By accepting the postulate, it justifies the taxing of the use of fossil fuels to the benefit of the few who have the control over the distribution of the carbon offsets. It also benefits those that are invested in alternative energy sources. I'm not opposed to anyone making money, but I do oppose the lie that has to be told and people set in agreement to do so. At the same time, cruising under the radar of President Obama's trip to Africa was the opening of negotiations for oil to be purchased from Ghana.
As the administration has thrown all of these knives in the air with, Health Care, Cap and Trade, taking control of the auto industry, monitoring CEOs and their benefits, the financial climate for lending and so much more, they are appointing Czars, at "our" expense that answer to no one outside of the White House, have gone through no approval process or conformation, yet have authority over the areas they have been "appointed to", have expanded the power of the Executive Branch and compromised of the "Checks and Balances" of our Constitution. Even the compliant Congress, dominated by Democrats are failing to see that "they" have been neutered and will, at some point, be over ruled by these appointed officials. If Republicans think they are in a minority position now, just wait! And sitting back and folding their arms waiting for things to crash and burn aren't going to put them in any better position in 2010, as some think will happen.
I've been questioning whether there are any differences between the two parties. Watching the so called debates between them, I have a growing conviction that there isn't much difference. The constant references to "my colleagues on the other side of the aisle" and the yukking it up during the coarse of these interviews only demonstrates to "me" the gutless and yielding nature of so called leaders who are more about their political cover than they are of some substantive ideology and core beliefs. If they were of any convictions they would have been pounding the table long ago to stop this runaway train of government and executive power grabbing. It's not enough for Republicans to vote "Nay" and parrot the "less government; less taxes" mantra. It's time to not only come up with alternatives, but start pounding the table, collectively, to assert the alternatives and renounce the policies that are been imposed and the false basis and  foundations from which they are drawn from and stop the administration and the Progressive agenda through the compliant media of defining and confining objection to obstruction and old ideologies that haven't been successful. It is all yet another lie that they are, through repetition compulsion, enter the ring of truth to.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS ON MICHAEL JACKSON

I first became aware of The Jackson 5 after they had won a talent show at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. They were pointed out to me by a member of the group, The Spinners, playing just outside of a van a few yards away. They were little kids.  A few months later, “I Want You Back” was # 1 everywhere. This brought on an appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” and we all got a look at a very precocious 10 year old that performed like a seasoned veteran of the stage. The “ride” was on, and from 1969 until now, in some shape or form, Michael Jackson was an intricate part of “Americana”. A stark irony of the whole thing is that 10 years old, “little old man” never met up with that “old man” as he aged. The “little kid” seemed to stay in place as the “man” went through the natural process of growing into adulthood.

Perhaps it is justified to put a “higher beam” on the scandals in his life. The accusations of pedophilia, which, like it or not, agree with it or not, by “LAW”, he was acquitted. Public opinion not withstanding, he wasn’t found guilty. Was what he did wrong? At the very least it was improper. At the same time, “some” measure of blame needs to fall at the feet of the parents who were willing to put their children in an awkward position just for the sake of their children being in the company of a wealthy and highly regarded celebrity that was Michael Jackson.  Should they have expected Michael to have such a close and physical connection? Probably not. Just the same, some guilt needs to fall on the kitchen table they intended to boast to their family, neighbors and friends of “their child’s” friendship with the great Michal Jackson.

Was the coverage of his death over the top? Absolutely! Even as a fan I reached for the remote after two days of repeated non news and speculations for reruns of “Law and Order” and even threw in a recently purchased DVD of “Burke’s Law”. South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford was the beneficiary of the spotlight falling off of him and his tryst in South America with his mistress, even though he didn’t take full advantage of it and kept talking. “Cape and Trade” went through in the House, cloaked by the over coverage and seemed to be treated as an, “Oh by the way…”.  Certainly there were “questions” about his sudden death, but it seemed the media had to keep saying “something” even when there was nothing “new” to say. “What of the kids? What was Joe Jackson ‘up to’? How much debt was he in”? And so on…and so on, incensing leaders such as Peter King to open up Pandora’s Box of the opposition to the coverage. It “was some 7 or 8 days gone by of “wall to wall” coverage.

The media was behaving like a driver slowing down to watch a wreck and while it may appear to be exalting the “career” of Michael Jackson, the majority of the coverage held a high beam on the negatives and oddities of this “character” that spanned for 40 years. That’s 2 generations. It is fair game to include the negatives of his character. They are, at the very least, peculiar with the surgeries, eating and living habits, the animals, relationships and conduct with children and of course, the skin color changes. But should all of these things offset the entire picture and his body of work? Who is to judge?

Congressman King reduced him to a “singer and dancer”. So many others came to the surface after his comments to affirm this conviction. That the death of soldiers went unnoticed by the media. This should have been taken up with the media and not demonize a person who “has” done so much more in the way of peace than any of these detractors are aware of. The mere efforts as a performer with his brothers and later on his own captured the spirits and souls of people world wide for decades. His skills were innovative in the way he put on a total presentation that other performers “tried” to emulate. But his contributions go deeper.

With the advent of MTV as a budding medium, The Jacksons put together a video that changed the way video music would be presented. “Can You Feel It” was the most innovative project of its time.  When he came out with his project “Off The Wall”, the music industry was suffering a serious reversal of appeal. They looked to MTV as a means of digging themselves out. Not only did Michael “force” MTV to show videos of Black Artists, something they avoided, he continued to produce videos that were unlike any others being done. “Thriller” totally reset the intents of video music. It actually qualified as a “Short Film” and should have gotten Oscar considerations. But at the same time, the controversies began to mount of Michael’s off stage conditions and behavior. They “were” extreme and unlike anything anyone had ever seen before. It was at this point that the media, ad nauseum, spent some 10 days, along with the emerging mysteries of the case, over extended the coverage. It is “here” that the genius of Michael Jackson was buried and probably will be sealed for quite some time.

This is the media that has manipulated the society towards celebrity that politicians have participated in and used to advance themselves. One might even consider that they themselves have some measure of envy at the amount of attention the passing of Michael Jackson got. King, a Republican, probably should put up this much opposition to what is being run through his own department of legislation. Might be nice to see him put up a You Tube clip of opposition to what the present administration is doing in way of policies and appointments of Czars that even he and the House nor the Senate have no authority over or oversight over. It’s like, “How dare a ‘real’ entertainer and celebrity steal our spotlight”!

Politicians have to accept their part in shaping the direction of attention they have played a part in creating. They wanted to be celebrities and go “Hollywood”. Well it puts them in a much bigger and deeper “pool” to swim in. There are times when they just can’t contain the sharks in those waters. They swarmed around Michael Jackson “this time” in his death. Maybe Republicans like King should have relished in the reprieve from swarming around them. But I digress.

The media isn’t done with Michael Jackson. There’s much more to come. Maybe he actually was that big. Maybe they’ll get around to some of the positives in his career that made the media think that he warranted all of this coverage. We’ll see.

R.I.P, Michael Jackson. There was a lot of joy in the ride you took us on for 40 years.

RE: "Where Are the Jobs" by John Boehner

With all due respect Congressman, this is yet another lame attempt drawing attention to the rampant and blatant policies that are being ramrod onto the American people. Lame because the symbolism of a "hunting dog" trivializes the dialog being generated by the White House and regurgitated by a compliant media that there isn't so much as a "speed bump" in place to make the people, at the very least, pause for a cursory glance at the facts.

Though Republicans are the minority in the House and Senate, it doesn't mean that we, the Republicans you represent, have to "tip toe" around this administration and the Democrats in the Congress. Tom Daschle didn't do it. Nancy Peloci and Harry Reed didn't do it. Granted, they had a cooperative media willing to give them print and a microphone, but the approaches thus far by the Republicans in the Congress have been far too timid as if you all are afraid to hold the administration's feet to the fire.

Facts are facts. NOTHING has been effective thus far and yet President Obama is still pushing policies that he refuses to debate, bills are being passed unread, and they just keep moving on unfettered, undeterred and unchallenged.

What's worst is the supportive citizens of the Republican Party, such, as me have NOT been able to contact anyone in the RNC EXCEPT...the Donations Department. I have made many attempts at trying to reach the office of Michael Steele only to get a recording. I was on the e-mailing list and withdrew because all I EVER got was solicited for donations. WHY...would I donate to ANYONE who cannot be reached or unavailable to receive comments or suggestions? I took a survey that would NOT be accepted without making a donation. This sounds like, "Give us some money and we'll speak up for you. Don't give us any money and we won't pay you any mind nor your point of view".

"Where are the jobs"? "I" can tell you! You all in Congress should look under your noses. They are RIGHT THERE in Washington with the administration appointing these so called "Czars" who are not elected but are given authority and accountable to NO ONE! More jobs are going into the bureaucracy while the private sector’s job numbers continue to decline. President Obama had the audacity to claim the “Stimulus is working”.  He has claimed to have saved the jobs of firefighters, teachers and police. Why is it when employment cuts are made, it starts with services for the people instead of the bureaucracy? Are any of these “paper pushers” going to put out a fire or arrest someone committing a crime?

The issue at hand here is priorities and Republicans in the Congress are not only playing “defensively” but are timid and shallow “offensively” with their objections and ideas. Democrats are running roughshod over you, thus running roughshod over the people. What do you all “think” we elected you for? To acquiesce? To kneel at the “throne”?

“Where are the jobs”? This will be a question “you all” will be asking sooner than you think if you all don’t get a backbone.
Just a thought....

LIBERAL v PROGRESSIVE: Not Just Semantics Pt 1

We are missing this BIG TIME! We must do what our opponents are working so hard to dismiss from the entire landscape. We MUST understand the meanings of words and the context in which they are used.
The FIRST words we must be clear on is the distinction between "Liberal" and "Progressives". Liberals want the expansion and inclusion of all "things"i.e. rights, liberties, tolerance, inclusiveness and considerations for "ALL". Progressives want the same thing. The difference between them is Liberals are willing to go through the necessary process to reach their goal. Progressives believe that the "law" and the Constitution are archaic restrictions, religion based biased and a bigoted outline for a suppressive system to keep and maintain an economic and social caste system and the process must be circumvented  to obtain justice. Liberals also are willing to allow the "system" and the "process" to stay in place while Progressives want it totally dismissed and the authority of governing put in their hands, as they are the ones with the intellectual where with all to distribute "justice".
While Liberals have spent their time "questioning" God, Progressives have been trying to get rid of Him altogether. "Endowed by our 'Creator'" implies that there is a "higher authority" that is at the root of our Republic that our laws were conceived. Get rid of "Him", and the law is left dangling in the air. "Endowed by what? In 'whom' do we trust"? No God! Progressives have usurped the authority to "take His place".
It is with this attitude and conviction that this administration is making their assertions in policy. They freely endorse and support dictators and their rights as in support of the Honduran President who wants to change their Constitution so that he can reign as long as he likes and not be removed (sort of like our Congress and Judicial Branches). Regarding it as a "coup d'etat" is evidence of this administrations support for the elected official and his authority to "change" the law without due process regardless of the will of the people, to say nothing of the law itself. At the same time, until there was an outcry from US citizens and the media, President Obama refused to comment on the actions in Iran towards the elections. He supports the Mullahs and their dictatorial control over Iran via their Faith in Islam. See, Allah is okay, but Jehovah isn't as evidenced by Obama's position with Israel.
"Words" are all we have to communicate and exchange ideas and dialog. Change the "meanings" and ideas and dialog breakdown and those who seek to control the meanings and intents will usurp authority right along with it.
Let's keep the difference between Liberal and Progressive clear.
Just a thought....

WHAT ELOQUENT? HE CAN READ!!

Seems that not a day goes by without me hearing at some point, some media commentator, of elected official, on either side, says something like, “President Obama is such an eloquent speaker. Such a great orator. Such great communications skills". NEWS FLASH!!! HE CAN READ!!!

It has even become comedy shtick now. Rush Limbaugh seems to be the first to start it, and of course, the media lambasted him for it. Now it's getting picked up everywhere. People imitating his "head swing" from one screen to the other, even getting a chuckle when the TelePrompTer "got a head of him" and when he repeated an intro.  People are not only mesmerized by "what" he says, but "how" he says it; even the screw ups and how he handles them. "He's so cool and calm and collected".

His intelligence and his depth of reasoning, his expressiveness and strength of delivery. HE CAN READ!!! Doesn't "anyone" ever listen to his answers in open press conferences and Town Halls? People criticized George W. Bush as dumb and bumbling as a speaker. Even with his prepared list of "questioners" during these press conferences and Town Halls, Obama is hapless just short of Porky Pig.

Speaking and speech is about cadences. What made Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. such an effective speaker was his cadences; the assembly of phrases, in combination of "points" to be made. "One" is the point. "Two" is the lead in, then the point.  "Three" is the set up or introduction, the lead in, then the point and so on. By mixing the combinations of "One's, Two's and Three's", an effective speaker holds his audience's attention thus being able to drive his argument effectively. King would include "Four's" from time to time as did Ronald Reagan. Malcolm X was also a very compelling speaker utilizing this system. Though is written TelePropter addresses employ this system, when "off" prompter, he is a stammering and sometimes rambling person who is liable to step on his tongue with golf cleats. The prime example, for the lot of good it did in waking people up to what he wanted to do, was the, "Spread the wealth around" comment to "Joe the Plumber". I could see the "Obama machine" engineers cringing when he made that comment. "THEY" know the truth and understand the liability of sending him out on his own unscripted. "I" believe he was given clearance to carry his Blackberry around just so he could get his script when needed. I'm sure that he can up load any speech to TelePrompter if need be, but I digress.

The "Love Affair" between President Obama and the compliant media is presenting him and his agenda with so many distractions that the general public has no clue as to just what we have to look forward to for the next 10-15 years. Even with clarifiers such as Fox News, Conservative Talk Radio and Sites such as this one, Town Hall, and Ask Heritage, the government is moving forward unchallenged, unquestioned and undeterred. Commentary to the contrary is being mocked and dismissed under the label of obstructionism, when legitimate challenges to propositions, questions and alternatives are presented.

"I" am, it appears to be but just one of the many people who share their point of views here in Town Hall, to say nothing of the professional writers and columnists; professional political analysts etc. Seems to "me" that we are all, at the very least, equal to anyone in the compliant media at presenting legitimate points to consider in one on one debate. "I" think "I" could handcuff some of the media pundits one on one myself. Even some of the "Neo/ Quazy" Republican Conservatives like Joe Scarborough and feed them their "lunch"( once again allowing the media to choose and brand Republicans and redefine "Conservatism"). Yet, the counters to what is being "slipstreamed" through for the last 5 months falls on the ears of the "choir" who are of the like mind and ideas.  Even the "Tea Parties" and the intent was mocked and misrepresented as much as those elected officials have been misrepresenting the will of the people.

At some point, there has to be some more compelling action taken by the people. I'm not sure what it is. One suggestion would be to go to the steps of the capital in Washington and the respective states if you can't get to Washington on a particular day, en mass. A friend of mine suggested no one go to work for three days throughout the country. Either might work. Both seem drastic. But neither is more drastic than what we have to look forward to for the next 10-15 years.

Just a thought.......
